I used to be skeptical of the first look when this became more popular. I remember the first one I did several years ago. I had the groom set up looking good against a pretty, wooden fence with vine running all over it. The bride was coming down the path towards him. I was out in the field with my long lens so I wasn’t in their faces. She called out to him, he turned around and she began running to him. He picked her up in his arms and twirled her around and tears ran down my face as my shutter kept snapping. It was beautiful. The story is different every time, but the emotion is always there.
