Oh man, I don’t know where to start! I love love love my job and couples like this just make me sing. Shannon & Dale’s day was amazing. They live out in the Crowsnest Pass in the bush. Now I’m a city girl and not used to the rugged surroundings, but it rocked my socks. I could have shot these guys for days and as it was we did 4 hours of pictures. I couldn’t get enough. They have a waterfall on their property!! How many people can say that. This may be one of my longest posts, but you have to get to the end for the waterfall shots! I also fell in love with the Crowsnest Pass area. I want to take my boys down there yet this summer and hit Frank’s Slide, the Coalmine tour and the big truck in Sparwood sounds cool too.
Shout out to Shannon’s Dad, Trevor – thanks for hanging out with us, helping Cory (my husband and reluctant assistant for the day) and for all the kind words and encouragement!
I photographed Shannon’s brother Craig 3 years ago for his wedding . It was so great to see them again with their new baby boy!! Nicole was a rockstar for being there after just having a baby 4 days prior! It’s awesome for me to be able to photograph a family over and over and it was wonderful to see that clan again. Shannon & Dale got married with their gorgeous children playing a big part in a beautiful, tug on your heartstrings, laid back ceremony in their backyard. After the ceremony we just walked around their property for all the pictures before they joined their guests again in a backyard BBQ.
Sweet Anika & Rylan. I love how the flowers she threw in this shot framed Rylan’s head.
I love the way she’s looking at him.
Some bridal party shots.
The pretty bridesmaids!!! 🙂 – just kidding Craig.
Dale and his brothers.
The light in the forest was amazing.
I’ve never seen R2D2 on a wedding cake – loved it.
