Salzburg, Austria

We picked up a rental car in Vienna and drove ourselves 3 hours to the quaint city of Salzburg. The highway was smooth, clean and fast with a speed limit of 130km/hour. Salzburg is well known for being the birthplace of Mozart and also the filming location for The Sounds of Music. It was so fun to see all these places in real life. I made Cory watch the movie before we left, but he wasn’t as enchanted as I have always been with that movie.

We bought the Salzburg Card at our hotel that got us into all the attractions including the Untersberg cable car out of town. It saved us money and was super easy to use. Salzburg was a nice change of pace from being in the big cities.
