Magic of Surprise Proposal

When it comes to popping the question, there are few moments as special as the one when you ask the person you love to spend the rest of their life with you. From the nerves and excitement leading up to the proposal, to the sheer joy and emotion of the big moment. That’s why it’s so important to have a way to remember and cherish the moment forever, and that’s where proposal photography comes in.

Capture the Moment

It’s so exciting and I love being there to capture the magic of the moment when someone pops the question. Being able to witness and photograph the raw emotions of the proposal, the joy and happiness of the big moment is an incredible privilege. I love the challenge of being ready to capture the perfect shot, while also being discreet and respectful of the couple’s privacy. I work closely with the planner or the couple to make sure that everything is set up perfectly and the location is just right. When the couple looks back at the photographs, they’ll be able to relive this significant time and it makes my job so rewarding.

Having a professional photographer there to capture the magical moment can help tell the story of your love in a way that words simply cannot. Whether you’re proposing in a beautiful park or on the top of a mountain, I will be able to capture the breathtaking scenery and this memorable moment in your lives.

Having a Planner

Having the assistance of a professional proposal planner can be invaluable when it comes to planning and executing the perfect surprise proposal. Their expertise and attention to detail can ensure that your vision for the proposal becomes a reality, and every aspect of the experience runs smoothly. A planner will create a timeline, scout location, curate the decor/props and make sure everything looks perfect when you arrive. Working with a planner can take the stress and pressure off of the proposer, allowing you to fully enjoy the moment.

I have worked with Lily from Luxe Proposals several times and she has the ability to bring a couple’s vision to life and make their proposal truly unforgettable. With her help, you can have the perfect proposal location, setup, and atmosphere. She will work with you every step of the way to create a romantic and personalized experience for you and your partner.

Discreet & Respectful

This is a huge moment for you and your partner and I don’t want any focus on me. I am discreet, out of the way, usually using my long lens to capture the action without being in anyone’s face. I have the experience to anticipate the moment and capture the shots while being discreet and respectful. I will highlight the beauty of the location, whether we are in the city, the mountains or in the countryside. I will capture the details, the ring and set up of your proposal and most importantly the emotion and joy that happens.

Candid Moments

While posed shots are important, candid moments can often be the most genuine and meaningful. The couple is often caught up in the moment, and their emotions and reactions are raw and genuine. I will capture these candid moments and create a story of the proposal with the photographs. This could include the couple’s body language and emotions as the proposal happens, the immediate moments after the proposal and the couple’s interactions with friends and family if they are present.

Location

When it comes to choosing the location for your proposal, the options are endless. Whether you decide on a breathtaking setting in the Rocky Mountains, a unique spot that is special to you or a location within the city, having a professional photographer there to capture the beauty of the surroundings and the big moment will leave you with treasured photographs. If you need help deciding on a location I am here to help and have lots of ideas to share with you.

Pictures after the Proposal

After the surprise proposal, the couple will likely be filled with excitement and emotions, and a great way to capture and prolong that special moment is by doing an engagement photo shoot or even just take 20 – 30 minutes for some additional pictures while you are both glowing.

Having some engagement pictures after the proposal is a great way to commemorate the moment and start of your journey together. These photos will be a reminder of where you were engaged and can be used as Save the Date or other purposes for your wedding. Here are some other great reasons to do an engagement session.
