Christmas House | Personal

I like Christmas again.  I have always been a fan of Christmas, but when my Dad passed away 6 years ago Christmas just wasn’t the same for me anymore.  For years after losing him, putting up the tree made me cry and decking my house out was sad rather than joyous.  He never got to see our new home or meet our last baby.  This is the first year that I didn’t cry putting up the tree.  Maybe because I put on a movie instead of Christmas music.  My brother also stopped by and he’s a good distraction.  Whatever it is, I’m starting to enjoy the holidays again.   Having family around, seeing my kids get so excited and my husband helping me make the turkey makes me happy.  I am so blessed.  I am surrounded by love and even though I still miss my Dad dearly I know he’s at peace in a better place and I will see him again.

I thought I’d share some of my decorations with you.  I love holiday decor and I add to it every year which drives my husband insane, but really can you have enough Christmas stuff?!

I did the top montage first and had so much fun doing it that I had to do another one.  I could do three, but then I’m just getting carried away.

Thanks for sharing Paula. The decorations are beautiful and I love the montages a third would be fine with me! If you ever get bored of any of your decorations I know someone who would take them….just saying:)

I love your Christmas decorations as well. And you are correct, you need to add to it each year, even if its only one piece. Happy to hear you’ve got your joy back and keep up the great work. I make a point of checking out this blog once a week just to see what you’ve been up to.

Beautiful!!!! Truly gorgeous my friend – you are so talented. Maybe you can help me with my house next year… ??
